About Hypha's CDT Player

This is a web application for playing Amstrad CPC computer tape files (.CDT) directly in your browser.

The Amstrad CPC was a popular 8-bit home computer series produced by Amstrad between 1984 and 1990. Games and software were commonly distributed on compact cassette tapes, which had to be loaded using the computer's built-in cassette deck.

CDT files are accurate digital representations of these cassette tapes, preserving the exact data signals used to load programs. This website allows you to hear these signals as they would have sounded when loading on a real Amstrad CPC.
